Language Arts:

• Today we did a variety of activities.  We worked on our cursive, created a link for the story, Happy Birthday, Dr. King and completed journal writing prompt.

• Homework:
• Spelling lesson 3 due on Tuesday, January 18th

• Reading to Waikiki slip due on Tuesday, January 18^th
• Biography work due on Tuesday, January 25^th
• Have a chapter book in school

Math:

3^rd Grade:

• Review due on Tuesday
• Test on Wednesday
• Study facts

4^th Grade:

• All of lesson 6.10. Use traditional method only!  Complete packet also.
• Angles project due on Friday, January 28th

• Study math facts.

Social Studies:

• Today we shared and discussed the very cool artifacts the student brought in.  They had great things to share.

Reminders:

• Science Center permission slips due on Tuesday, January 18th

·         On Monday, January 17^th  (MLK Day)  Groves is hosting a “Kids Against Hunger” event from 1:00-5:30.  This is a great opportunity for students to do some community service.  BCS staff will also be volunteering during the afternoon.  Please think about coming.
