Language Arts:

• Today we did a lot of “finish-up” work.  All students complete their Helen Keller Wiki page.  We worked on activities from the story, Happy Birthday, Dr. King and we worked on cursive.  The students have a homework assignment that requires PARENTS to respond as well. They are going to share their Helen Keller wiki page with you and ask you to respond.  This is due on Friday, January 14^th.

• Today are butterfly larva arrived. We observed them and created our caterpillar wiki page.

• Today we began our biography unit. Each student checked out a biography and are to read it at home. They must also complete the “reading sheet” that goes with the biography. The reading and the sheet must be completed by Tuesday, January 25^th.

          Today we started our introduction to learning about regions of the United States.  First we must learn and think like “Social Scientist”.  We read about their specialties and completed an activity based on the reading

Just wanted to let everyone know that we ran out of time today and did not have time to fill out planners.  So the students did not fill out their planners and do not have to have them signed.
